Bio

Dr. Marzena Baker, a Senior Lecturer at the Peter Faber Business School in the Australian Catholic University. She teaches strategic management, change management and project management. She is also an expert in workplace gender equity, equality, and diversity. Her primary research focus revolves around investigating the efficacy of workplace diversity policies, with a keen interest in enhancing the representation of women across various organizational levels and assessing their impact on overall organizational performance.
Specializing in evaluating the design, selection, and implementation of gender equality initiatives, including human resource (HR) and work-life strategies, in her research Dr. Baker delves into HR initiatives encompassing recruitment, remuneration, promotion, training, and employee retention. Simultaneously, her work-life initiatives advocate for flexible work arrangements, empowering women to assume leadership roles.

Dr. Baker obtained a PhD and Master of Business degrees from Queensland University of Technology. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University. Before joining Australian Catholic University, she was a Lecturer in Project Management at the University of Sydney.
Dr. Baker's professional industry experience spans over 25 years in senior corporate positions, where she has managed consumer research, marketing, and communication projects in fast-moving consumer goods, construction, and property development industry sectors.
